Staying active at home during coronavirus crisis

Staying active and keeping fit may not seem quite as easy if you’re staying at home during the coronavirus outbreak. But there are some simple and effective exercises many of us can do to stay healthy both physically and mentally. Pilates is a great form of exercise for the whole family and especially the elderly as it is low impact and whole body training focusing on core strength & stability.

Here are some basic exercises you can do at home: Do 2-3 reps of the set below.

  1. Chest lift x 10
  2. Dead Bug x 5 each side
  3. Bridge x 10
  4. Hundreds x 1
  5. Criss Cross x 10
  6. Opposite Arm & Leg Lift x 10 each side
  7. Swimming x 20-30 seconds
  8. Side lying Clams x 10 each side
  9. Side lying knee circles x 10 each side
  10. Side lying straight leg lifts x 10 each side
